Privacy Policy

Plate is a private AI visual cookbook for iOS. We built it to help you cook, save recipes, and understand your food, not to track you. We do not show ads, we do not sell your personal information, and we do not track you across other apps or websites.

1. Information we collect

Plate collects the information needed to run the app: your account email, optional name, recipes, notes, food photos, generated images, subscription status, and basic app settings.

If you choose to add food allergies or dietary preferences, Plate stores them so it can warn you when a recipe may contain matching ingredients.

We also collect limited usage, crash, and performance data to understand what is working, fix bugs, and keep the app reliable. Payments are handled by Apple, so we never see your card details.

2. How we use your information

We use your information to create recipes, estimate nutrition, generate visuals, sync your cookbook, manage your subscription, remember your settings, and send notifications you allow.

We do not use your information for advertising, and we do not build advertising profiles.

3. AI processing

Plate uses secure backend services and trusted AI providers to analyze food photos, write recipes, estimate nutrition, translate content, and create recipe visuals.

AI providers receive only the content needed for the task, such as a food photo or recipe text. They do not receive your name, email address, or account identity from Plate.

AI-generated recipes and nutrition values are estimates. Always use your own judgment, especially for allergies, dietary needs, and food safety.

4. Analytics and crash reports

Plate uses Firebase services for analytics, crash reporting, and remote configuration. These tools help us see which features are used, find crashes, and improve the app.

Crash and analytics data may be linked to your user ID so we can debug account-specific issues, but it does not include your recipe content, allergy details, name, or email address.

Plate does not collect advertising identifiers and does not show an App Tracking Transparency prompt because we do not track you for advertising.

This website (platerecipes.app) uses Google Analytics for Firebase to measure visits, which articles are read, and clicks on App Store and other links. It records the pages you view, your language, device and browser type, and a general region such as your country, but never your name, email address, or anything you type.

Analytics cookies are set only after you accept them in the cookie banner. If you decline, Google receives only cookieless signals without identifiers. You can change your choice at any time with the Cookie settings link at the bottom of every page. Advertising features are turned off.

5. What we do not do

We do not sell your personal information.

We do not show ads or use advertising SDKs.

We do not collect your location, contacts, or browsing history outside Plate.

We do not send your allergies or dietary preferences to AI providers.

6. Third-party services

Plate relies on a small number of trusted services to operate the app, including Supabase for account data and storage, RevenueCat for subscriptions, Firebase for analytics and crash reports, Google Sign-In and Sign in with Apple for authentication, and AI providers for recipe and image generation.

These services process only the information needed for their role and may have their own privacy terms.

7. Data storage and deletion

Your recipes, photos, preferences, and generated images are stored securely and tied to your account. Data is encrypted in transit, and access rules are designed so your private cookbook is available only to you.

You can delete your account at any time in the app or by contacting us. Deleting your account removes your private cookbook data, subject to short backup and operational retention periods.

If you intentionally publish a recipe to the public recipe collection in Plate, that published recipe may remain visible after account deletion, but the link to your account is removed.

8. Children's privacy

Plate is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us and we will remove it.

9. Your choices

You can update or delete recipes, change allergies and dietary preferences, turn notifications off, manage your subscription through Apple, and request account deletion.

If you have a privacy request, email us at support@platerecipes.app.

10. Changes and contact

We may update this policy from time to time. When we make important changes, we will update the date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app.

If you have questions about this Privacy Policy, contact us at support@platerecipes.app.
